Daughter, artist, friend, soulmate, supermarket sweeper, vertically challenged, superior culinary skills

Location: Movie Theater, Move: Alice in Wonderland, Situation: Double Date

Tameika is clearly a minimalist like me, she didn't really have a purse this time but a wallet; which I carry most of the time. But the one thing that a woman never leaves the house without, even if you just have a wallet, is LIPGLOSS!!!!

Episode 2: Meneika aka Meneika Star

I forgot to mention last time that during this endeavor, i will be asking for one item from each purse and probably putting them all together somewhere on something.

Profile: Menieka, co-worker, friend, caring, quirky and the most none matching person i know!

Until next time...

Purse Divin'

Okay, so we've all heard of "dumpster diving" right? well i love to "purse dive". it's been a fetish of mine for some time now. i usually ask first and never take anything but i love to go all up and through people's purses/bags. i find it interesting to see what people feel like they just can't leave the house without. plus as a person with no children and who rarely ever carries a purse, i'm like "what do you need with that ginormous pocketbook?" my mom said that when i have kids i'll understand and this is true but until then, what's in those things?

so, after much encouraging and excitement from friends and "The Boy", i decided to blog my efforts for others to follow.

Purse Diving, episode 1: Catherine aka Cat-Momma
Profile: Mother of three of the some of the most extraordinary children I've met (& I've been working with children for over 12 years!); Artist; Illustrator; Dancer; Philosopher; Sage; and a wonderful to friend to many.

volleyball dreamin' & i'm feelin' alright...

i keep having these volleyball dreams. either i'm coaching or i'm being coached as an adult player. in last night's dream, i was a player but i was still 31 & worked for the ymca. i was at this huge recruiting tournament. i'm not sure what they were recruiting for but we couldn't where any t-shirts promoting any schools so i had to turn my unc shirt inside out!!! there was a brochure type book that had each players' profile in it. my profile listed my volleyball accomplishments as well as my ymca accomplishments. what does this crap mean? i know i must have volleyball in my life. maybe i'm supposed to find a way to get players recruited, seen, that otherwise wouldn't be. all things point to Starlings. i'm going to do this asap.

you gotta love how God keeps placing things in your awareness, subconscious or not...

The Bestest Candy Ever Made

I love Candy Corn. Most people that know me know this to be true. So of course I couldn't help myself when I saw a link on MSN.com that described how the candy was made. I just had to share that with you all. I'm just glad that it's not made the way this photo depicts.

Here is the link that tells you how it's really made: CandyCorn

Now What?!

It was brought to my attention that I hadn't posted a blog in a minute. That made me think because really what have I been doing since July? I'm done with school so that can't be the excuse any more.

I'm kind of in limbo now, I'm in the "NOW WHAT?" stage. I finished the only one goal I had when I moved back to North Carolina and now what? I work full time at the YMCA and love it but need more money so now what? I moved out of the hood but want to buy a house so now what?

Maybe this is the multitasker in me that won't allow me to just be still. It's times like this that I should be using my extra time to strengthen my spiritual relationship with God, so now what?

I'm going to take a trip and meditate. Any ideas?
